John McNair's Elder Law Boot Camp

November 2, 2021 – DALLAS

Dallas Elder Law Estate Planning Attorney John McNair will be hosting a series of Elder Law Boot Camp Webinars this month to help Social Workers, Care Managers, Financial Advisors and other professionals stay on top of changing legislation, regulations, and programs impacting senior adults.

These free webinars will be held on online on Wednesday afternoons at 3pm.  Each of the four sessions will be recorded, and will be available on demand for those not able to participate in the live sessions.  One hour of Social Work Continuing Education will be provided for each session upon the completion of a required evaluation form.

Kicking off the Elder Law Boot Camp will be a one-hour session on Wednesday, November 3rd on Avoiding Guardianship.  This highly requested topic will discuss the pros and cons of guardianship, as well as programs and services that can help someone avoid the need for a guardianship.

The second and third sessions will cover Texas Nursing Home Medicaid Qualification and VA Pension (also called Aid & Attendance).  The November 10th Webinar will offer an Introduction to Medicaid and VA Pension, and the November 17th Webinar, Advanced Medicaid and VA Pension Planning, will provide a deeper dive into these programs.

Rounding out the four-part Elder Law Boot Camp Webinar Series is a presentation on Wednesday, December 1st providing the 2022 Elder Law Estate Planning Update.  This session will cover updates to Medicaid and VA Pension qualification and benefits, as well as new and proposed legislation related to Estate Tax and other Estate Planning topics.

The Elder Law Boot Camp is part of McNair Dallas Law’s ongoing commitment to community education.  These presentations are free and but registration is required.  Register today for one or multiple sessions.  If you are looking for a speaker for your group or community, please contact Susan at
